Entropia was a neo-Progressive Rock Band in the 1990's. Based in Caracas, Venezuela, their members Horacio "Lacho" Sosa (Bass), Jesus Bello (lead Guitars and backing vocals), Jorge Luis Jimenez (Drums and backing vocals) and Juan Pablo Bello (Keyboards) were working together for about 4 years. Unfortunately the the band never found the right lead vocalist to complete the project, 9 different vocalists were getting in and out of the band in 4 years, an unsuccessfuly effort. However the energy of the compositions and the brotherhood between the members was simply outstanding. Entropia was doing what nobody else was at that time in Venezuela. The band got to do 2 gigs, the first one at Soho Cafe at Las Mercedes in Caracas and the second one at Spacio Club in La Castellana also a Caracas comunity. Some of the songs that the band was doing at the time are: La Conquista (The conquest), Verde es Rojo (Green is red), Haximu Tapiris, ElElefantiasico (Elephantized), 7 x 4, Espejos (Mirrors), Luna de Sal (Salt moon); in addition to this material as any other band Entropia was carriying a lot of unreleased material that never got to be compiled as songs. There are only a few recordings (and they weren't professionaly done) of the band made in Rio Studios (caracas), some of the material features 1 of the 9 vocalist, and there is yet another recording made previously to those featuring Xioger Sandoval on Vocals, Xioger was the one who stayed more time into the band. The Entropia material is hold by Jesus Bello on audio CD format. The unreleased material is hold by drummer Jorge Jimenez on sequences and midi files format. Their members are currently working by themselves in different countries and they have no plans of revived the band. Drummer Jimenez is planning to create an Entropia webpage early next year.
