I am an [[Australia]]n high school student looking to help improve Wikipedia as much as I can, and have been editing since [[March 14]], [[2005]]. I became an admin on [[November 27]], [[2005]] after a [[Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Harro5 3|successful vote]] in which I received unanimous support during my third RfA. I am most interested in articles about American and Australian politics, sport, and any current events; see the [[/People|list of people I admire]]. I am most proud of my article on [[Caulfield Grammar School]], which provides a comprehensive history of my school to add to Wikipedia, and was made a [[Wikipedia:Featured_articles#Education|featured article]] on [[July 8]], [[2005]]. I support the [[Melbourne Football Club]] and am a fan of many sports including [[NBA]] basketball, [[cricket]] and [[Australian Football League|AFL football]]; I've driven the creation of articles concerning the new [[South Dragons]] team. I study [[Standard Mandarin|Mandarin Chinese]], have visited [[People's Republic of China|China]] twice and hope to work there or at least use fluent Chinese in the future as part of my career. I also have my own first-class [[User:Harro5/sandbox|sandbox]].

==The power of Wikipedia==
My first few edits to Wikipedia were to update news on the [[Brian Nichols]] case, and I got hooked about a month later. I've always believed that while it's important Wikipedia be a comprehensive source on all sorts of history to compete with the big boys like [[Encyclopædia Britannica]], the project's greatest strength is its ability to provide knowledge on a whole range of topics relevant right now and into the future. While it would be great in the future to see undergraduates and school kids sourcing Wikipedia without doubt about its credibility on major topics, I feel that right now it fills a powerful hole - lots of knowledge, that's free, on lots of stuff. Basically, you might not leave Wikipedia an expert on any one subject just by reading our article, but you're going to have little bits of knowledge on all sorts of things, and that's just as valuable. We're providing the broadest [[liberal arts]] education out there.
