The Horde prevailed and, before Jaina could intervene, Admiral Proudmoore was slain in the throne room of the island's citadel. Knowing the threat had been removed, the Orcs and their allies left Jaina and the island in peace.

Theramore and Durotar remained at relative peace for three years, though the two former archenemies were still wary of each other.
