==Editorial Motivation==

I'm knee-deep in writing my [[Ph.D.]] [[thesis]] in [[bioinformatics]] at [[Boston University]] and I just really need a release sometimes from the writing process.  Oddly, I've found the best thing to take my mind off of my thesis is fixing vandalism and improving encyclopedia articles here at Wikipedia.  Crazy, huh?

==New Page Patrolling==

This is an interesting diversion to my normal anti-vandalism habits.  The odd part is that once the article is deleted, my efforts disappear along with the jumnk article.  It seems to be human nature to want to see a legacy of your good work and yet it's just as satisfying to see an absence of junk as the equivalent legacy.
