==History==
[[Ghani Khan Choudhury Institute of Engineering & Technology]] was a dream project of former [[Railway Minister]] [[A. B. A. Ghani Khan Choudhury]].His dream was to provide basic Engineering to the students of Malda and nearby area and states as these areas lacks in modern Education facilities and moreover students had to go to other cities to pursue Education.
GKCIET was temporarily started in 1st November 2009 at [[Power Grid Corporation of India]] TTC Campus Maliha,
[[  Malda]] by then [[Minister of Human Resource Development]] Sri [[Kapil Sibal]].In June 2010 admission to the Certificate Course was started in the stream of [[Electrical Engineering]],[[Mechanical Engineering]] and [[Food Technology]] with 30 students in each streams.
