Pollara then attended [[Art Center College of Design]] in Pasadena, California. He spent semesters apprenticing with cinematographers [[Affonso Beato]] A.S.C (known for [[The Queen (
2006 film)|The Queen]]) and [[Allen Daviau]] A.S.C. (known for [[E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial|E.T the Extra-Terrestrial]]). In 2010, Pollara spent a semester working alongside [[Affonso Beato]] on international productions for [[Rede Globo]]; the second-largest commercial television network in annual revenue worldwide just behind [[ABC Television Network|ABC Television network]]. Pollara studied Film Production and Industrial Design and graduated in 2010.
