The '''Anglo-Norman language''' is the name given to the language spoken by the [[Anglo-Norman]]s, the descendents of the [[Norman]]s who ruled [[England]] following the [[Battle of Hastings|conquest]] by [[William I of England|William of Normandy]] in [[1066]].
