As of [[2004]], the highway's northern terminus is [[Michigan City, Indiana]] at [[U.S. Highway 12]].  Its southern terminus is [[St. Albans, West Virginia]] at [[U.S. Highway 60]]. Currently, the [[West Virginia]] portion of the highway is being expanded to four lanes, mostly along a completely new route. When the new highway is completed, the southern terminus will move to [[Interstate 64]] near [[Hurricane, West Virginia]].
