She served as a senior advisor to the [[United Nations Population Fund]] and holds the position of Coordinator/Chair of the United Nations Inter-Agency Task Force on Religion and Development.

== Biography and Education ==
Azza Karam was born in 1968 in Cairo, Egypt, and has lived in several countries throughout her life, being the daughter of a diplomat.
