Ninetales has made it cameo appearance in [[Pokkén Tournament|Pokkén Tournament and Pokkén Tournament DX]] as an NPC support Pokémon.

Vulpix and Ninetales have unique Alola Formes in [[Pokémon Sun and Moon|''Pokémon Sun'' and ''Moon'']]. In their Alola Formes, Vulpix becomes an Ice-type Pokémon, while Ninetales becomes an Ice/Fairy-type Pokémon.
