His earliest work was reflecting his secondary school life as a student and gained his popularity among teenagers, while he was teaching. His later works include fictions reflecting his career as a teacher. Butt wrote several non-fictions in [[astrology]] and other subjects.

Butt is an enthusiastic player in [[board game]]s like [[Dungeons & Dragons]].
