Halo Guitars was created in 2000 by Belinda Lee and luthier Waylon Ford who began building guitars at an early age. They thought that most of the guitar companies out there had stagnated in designs and also believed that most of them had become greedy and charged high prices to the public. They decided to do what he could to change things by starting up his own company and manufacturing hand made quality instruments that where affordable. The first Halo guitars were released at the 2000 Winter NAMM show and featured designs that were edgier and popular with the metal genre' of musicians. These designs quickly gained in popularity because of the outrageous designs, performance, and fast-playing neck.

Halo's marketing strategy, which featured gorgeous fetish models (known as the Halo Gals) holding the guitars in unique poses, made people compare them to a young Dean Guitars. Halo uses a gorilla warfare marketing strategies (Club Showcases, Conventions, Billboards, Radio, and Television) that were not common in the MI industry. On top of that Halo uses the Halo Gals & the Halo street team play a huge roll in the marketing as well. The Halo street team has grown drasticly in the last two years to over 35,000 and continues to grow each day.

In 2007 at the winter NAMM show, Halo Guitars revealed the 8 string guitars that were made possible by the joint action of Halo owner Waylon Ford & Kahler Tremolo System owner Gary Kahler. Since then they have been know to cross the bar in many ways and are considered one of the up and coming guitar companies of this generation.

Halo Gals
The Halo Gals are an organization of models, burlesque performers, fetish performers, sideshow performers, roller durby skaters, and more.

They also head the street teams in each ones designated area.
