A.D. Zakrevski of the [[Belarus|BSSR]] Academy of Sciences created LYaPAS.  It is a language and system for [[programming]] [[synthesis]] [[algorithm]]s and [[discrete algorithm]]s.

The [[Cyrillic]] spelling of the name is "&#1051;&#1071;&#1055;&#1040;&#1057;", and stands for "Logical Language for the Representation of Synthesis Algorithms".  It was implemented on the "[[URAL-1]]" computer.
