Yuu Hasegawa was born to a conservative family who did not approve of her AV career, but remained close to her throughout her career. Making her AV debut in March 1995 as Aika Miura in ''I Love You'' (好きです - ''Suki Desu''), she appeared regularly in AVs until taking an eight-month retirement between January and November of 1998. She pursued a career as a stripper simultaneously with her AV activities.
