Save the cross that represented the history of the Catholic Mexicans that discovered L.A. ==Biography==
Born and raised in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California and still live in the east valley, though elsewhere than Van Nuys. I love the Greater Los Angeles area more than anywhere else I know of, for reasons that are tough to explain. Perhaps just because I was raised with all of it, but who knows?

I am an intermediate programmer in C++ and am a developer for BZFlag. I know some other programming languages, but nothing expert like.

I am a huge basketball fan and player. I love it more than any other sport and have loved it since I was a child. I love playing it and watching it equally. My skill level when playing is great, but not best or able to work miracles. I do know all the techniques and many tricks (there are a few I still don't know, like rolling the ball down my arms).

I know conversation-level Spanish, but I am not a native speaker nor am I near that level, but I do know enough to get around and say things that actually are productive and meaningful.

Being a Bruin fan
I am a proud Bruin fan, not a Trojan fan. In fact, I am against USC in athletics (academically I am neutral in regards to USC, but even then I support UCLA). I will always cheer for UCLA academically and athletically.

Politics
I am politically a Moderate Democrat. I support stem-cell research because I feel it will one day help hopeless people. Another one of them is illegal immigration. I am laid back about illegal immigration from Mexico because I can't help but feel bad for the thousands that cross illegally that are simply looking for a better life in the United States. I feel that we should work on fixing terrorism in the country by beefing up certain things that currently are lacking anti-terrorism measures rather than trying to do "quick hacks" and just stop the illegals from getting in through Mexico. Beef up the border between Canada and the United States, keep the one with Mexico laid back, and work on stopping terrorism in the U.S.

I support the War on Terrorism because I have yet to hear any better alternatives than going to war in response to September 11th. We aren't just going to sit there and do nothing.

I support taxes to contribute a significant portion of public works, as in I support taxes as long as they go towards something to benefit the munincipality. However, I am against raising taxes unnecessarily, such as what James K. Hahn wanted to do to hire more police. Antonio Villaraigosa and Bob "Piggy" Hertzberg, as well as other mayoral candidates in the 2005 Los Angeles mayoral election, would promise the same thing without raising taxes or sacrificing things.

I am strongly against gay rights and homosexuality, abortion, and the other crap that nobody cares about.

Optimism
I try and get the absolute greatest return from things. For example, I hate seeing shopping malls that take up a large parcel of land but the majority of the land being developed with a surface parking lot. It wastes the land because the parking lot doesn't do much or have much value. Another example is a suburban area. The density of the area is wasting land because it contains single-family houses which take up an entire parcel of land and house only one family (usually 4 people) while that same parcel could have been developed with a 50 story residential skyscraper that would house hundreds more people.

All the lightbulbs in my apartment are fluorescent lightbulbs, I recycle as much as I can, I conserve resources, and other things. However, I am a carnivore, not a vegan like many people are that have same habits.

I apply this thinking to most everything, like trying to make Wikipedia articles the best I am capable of making them.

Brag List
Articles I have created:

*Philippe's
*Bunker Hill, Los Angeles, California
*Warner Center, Los Angeles, California
*Calabasas High School, Calabasas, California
*Belmont Learning Center
*Belmont Senior High School
*Amusement
*College Basketball
*Projects (housing)
*6 World Trade Center
*San Antonio Winery

Articles I nominated for Featured Article status:
*BZFlag (I added a lot of what is there)

I also add more Census and detailed information to city pages. Los Angeles is one of them--I added all the subsections in the Demographics section.
