'''Edie Bukewihge''' (born [[February 10]], [[1950]]) is a [[United States]] [[citizen]]. She was born in [[San Antonio, Texas]], lived in [[Los Angeles, California]] for ten years then [[Beverly Hills, California]] for over twenty five years before moving to [[Newport Beach, California]].  

She was a candidate in the [[2002]] [[California]] [[Gubernatorial]] election, finishing in 5th place with .06% (14,400) of the votes.  

She declared a run for [[United States Senate]] in [[May 2002]], later declared a run for [[President of the United States]] in [[July 2003]]. [[As of 2004]], she ran simultaneously for U S Senate and the Presidency and dropped out of both. Realistically, she declared her chances were better in the 2006 [[California]] election for [[Governor]] of [[California]] and filed to run in 2006.

Bukewihge has been a member of the [[United States Republican Party]] since [[1980]], denouncing her [[Republican]] status in November 2004 to become a member of the [[Democratic Party (United States)|Democratic Party]]. She is very critical of the administration of [[George W. Bush]].
