'''Club Xanadu''' was a [[disco]] club located a block from the [[beach]] in [[Asbury Park, New Jersey]] from the late 1970s until the late 1980s. During the club's successful life, many celebrity patrons frequented the club, and [[MTV]] hosted an event there. The club was also an early hangout for [[Bruce Springsteen]] before it changed format to [[dance music]]. [[Bruce Springsteen]] debuted his "[[Dancing in the Dark (Springsteen song)|Dancing in the Dark]]" video live at the club in the 1980s. Today it is a [[gay]] [[disco]], popular with [[New York]]'s [[male]] [[gay]] [[community]] who travel in to Asbury Park on [[budget vacations]].
