==Segments==
A typical .NET Show is comprised of five segments,<ref name="showoverview">[http://msdn.microsoft.com/theshow/overview.aspx The .NET Show Home Overview of the Show]</ref> of which four are main. The episodes usually start with a brief introduction from Robert Hess and Erica Wiechers, after which Erica presents a news report titled ''MSDN News Update'',<ref name="showoverview"/> reporting on the latest Microsoft news. Robert then introduces guests for the show at ''Techno-Babble'',<ref name="showoverview"/> providing an overview and insight of a chosen Microsoft technology or topic. After approximately 35 mintues, a session break is then presented called ''Diversionary Tactics'',<ref name="showoverview"/> often featuring trivia of Microsoft. At the beginning of the second half of the program, Robert Hess returns with two (usually new) guests for ''Enter the Programmer'',<ref name="showoverview"/> which begins demonstrations on code programming for the technology discussed in Techno-Babble. The program then enters into an interview session called ''[email protected]'', discussing the background of Microsoft employees before finishing off with a final wrapup and preview of the next episode from both hosts.<ref name="showoverview"/>
