Because of the generally preverse themes in Hentai films he was able to explore his own sexuality. Soon Russell began to realize his homosexuality.<p>

Upon returning to America, russell became aware of its conservative views on homosexuality. Soon after which, he joined [[NGLTF]](The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force). He now teaches at ''Arlington High School''.
