Tragically, the constant conflict between the jungle natives and the Balawai prospectors in combination with the environment's own lethal nature drove Depa into the darkness of the jungle.  Mace, after considerable effort, was able to extract Depa from Haruun Kal.  However, Depa never recovered from the dark, catatonic state that she fell into after making an attempt to end her own life.

The Dark Woman was a [[Jedi|Jedi Master]]  of great power and skill who lived during the waning days of the [[Old Republic]]. Born as '''An'ya Kuro''', she sacrificed her given name upon becoming a member of the [[Jedi Order]]. Little is known of her background, although it is suspected that she received training under a [[Sith Lord]] (perhaps [[Darth Bane]]) prior to becoming a [[Jedi Knight]].  She was known to possess many Force powers uncommon among the Jedi, such as the ability to control plant matter and pass through solid objects. Her [[lightsaber]] was particuarly ornate, modified or perhaps built with artificial plant vines wrapping around it. Like [[Mace Windu]], her lightsaber had a purple blade.

She trained the infamous bounty hunter [[Aurra Sing]] as well as [[Ki-Adi-Mundi]] before [[Yoda]] took over his training. In addition, she tutored [[Tusken Raiders|Tusken]] Jedi [[A'Sharad Hett]] along with Sing and Ki-Adi-Mundi. Sing abandoned her training to become a dangerous foe to the [[Jedi Order]].  The Dark Woman's failure with Sing made her unpopular with many members of the [[Jedi Council]], save Ki-Adi-Mundi.

The Dark Woman survived the [[Great Jedi Purge]] and went into hiding in the Cophrin System on the Outer Rim. However, she was discovered by the [[Emperor's Hand]] [[Mara Jade]], and Darth Vader was dispatched to destroy her.  During a climactic battle, Darth Vader succeeded in incapacitating the Dark Woman, but she quickly transformed herself into a Jedi Spirit before Vader could deliver a final, killing blow, "dying" in a sense like [[Obi-Wan Kenobi]] and Yoda.  

The Dark Woman appears exclusively in Star Wars [[Expanded Universe]] literature.  However, her former apprentice [[Aurra Sing]] makes a brief appearance in [[Episode I: The Phantom Menace]]; lending weight to the theory that she is G-canon.

In the novelization of [[Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith]], it is revealed that Yoda trained him in the lightsaber, and he in turn trained Obi-Wan. Though he was not a member of the [[Jedi Council]], his dueling abilities rivaled those of the Council members.  In [[Revenge of the Sith]], his apprentice, [[Serra Keto]], was [[the Force|Force]] choked by [[Darth Vader]] during his purge of the [[Jedi Temple]]. Cin Drallig's dueling skills, as good as they were, were no match for Lord Vader's skills; he fended him off with one hand (specifically his robotic hand) and slew him.  His murder was recorded in the temple security [[holograms]].  At the time of his murder, Cin knew Vader as [[Anakin Skywalker]], hero of the [[Republic]].

He is played in the film by Nick Gillard, the stunt choreographer for the [[Star Wars]] movies, and his name is Gillard's spelled backwards.  In several interviews, Gillard has stated that he would destroy Anakin in a real life duel.  He is seen only briefly by hologram.

Master Gallia was not in favour of Anakin's ascension to [[Jedi Knight]] saying that he misused his powers. But in the end, [[Anakin]] was promoted to Jedi Knight.

Sha'a Gi was a human [[Jedi]] during the [[Clone Wars]] and was one of the Jedi to first encounter [[General Grievous]]. He was jumpy and relied on his master to keep him calm. When his master died he rushed out to the body and was easily killed by Grievous. Like the others killed in the [[Battle of Hypori]], his lightsaber became an addition to Grievous' trophy collection.

When his friend Morgan Katarn discovered its whereabouts, he entrusted his [[lightsaber]] to him, to pass on to his son [[Kyle Katarn]] whom he sensed was strong to [[the Force]].

He then moved to confront Jerec. He was captured on [[Dorlo]] and then aboard the ''[[Vengeance (Star Wars)|Vengeance]]'' where Jerec read his mind and learnt of Morgan Katarn's knowledge of the Valley. Rahn was then heroically executed, after a short duel on the bridge, but his ghost was able to contact Kyle and warn him about Jerec.

Qu Rahn was one of the few survivors of the [[Great Jedi Purge]], and since his ghost appears after his physical death, he must have also learned the ability to live on after death from [[Qui-Gon Jinn]] or some other past Jedi who discovered this secret .

Her lower lip is stained a permanent purplish black, and a series of interlocking black diamonds tattoo her chin, while more intricate markings cover her knuckle joints.  Her eyes are of an intense blue color, a contrast to her olive colored skin.

Luminara Unduli served in the Jedi Order during the last days of the Old [[Republic]], and rose to the rank of [[Jedi Master]] ten years prior to the [[Clone Wars]].  She was accompanied almost everywhere by her loyal [[Padawan]] [[Barriss Offee]]. 

Just before the [[Clone Wars]], Luminara and [[Barriss Offee]], together with [[Jedi Knight]] [[Obi-Wan Kenobi]] and his [[Padawan]] [[Anakin Skywalker]], were dispatched to the minor world of Ansion to settle a dispute, thus solidifying Ansion's place in the Republic, and dissuading them from joining the seperatist movement.  During the [[Clone Wars]], Luminara fought alongside the other [[Jedi]] in the [[Battle of Geonosis]]. 

Among the [[Seven Forms of Lightsaber Combat]], Master Unduli favored Form III above the rest, believing that a true master of Form Three is invincible.  She wielded a green [[lightsaber]].

Sadly, she was killed brutaly by a [[AT-RT]] on the Wookiee world of [[Kashyyyk]], when [[Order 66]] was executed.

Quinlan played a major part in the [[Clone Wars]] by infiltrating Count Dooku's Inner Circle and giving information to the Jedi. He was led back to the  [[dark side]] of [[the Force]] by Count Dooku, and shortly worked as a triple agent against the Republic, until his true colors were shown when he assassinated a senator. He later returned to the light side, Vos moved his troops to [[Boz Pity]], but was killed along with a couple of clones by his clone troops in accordance with [[Order 66]] when his [[A5 Juggernaut|Clone Turbo Tank]] exploded.

Quinlan trained as a Jedi under [[Jedi Master]] Tholme. He later trained [[Aayla Secura]] as his own [[Padawan]].  

Master Vos is mentioned by Obi-Wan Kenobi in ''[[Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith|Revenge of the Sith]]'' when news of the events concerning the [[Clone Wars]] is heard at the [[Jedi Temple]]. Lucas planned to have him in the movie but never got around to filming his scene. In the comic book version of Episode III Quinlan Vos is riding on top of a Turbo Tank (Juggernaut) when another tank is told to execute Order 66. The tank fires and Quinlan is destroyed in the fire.
