APESOL was founded in February [[2002]] in [[Lima, Peru]] and currently has presence in the major cities across the country. APESOL works together with NGO, Government, Civil Society in projects which aim to accomplish its goals and has also worked closely with Congressmen [[Edgar Villanueva]] and [[Daniel Estrada]] regarding Free Software bills.
