Chris Watrin was born and raised in [[Cologne]], [[Germany]] and he joined [[US5]] when he was still at school. During the casting of the [[reality television]] show [[Big in America]], he decided to leave his then ex-girlfriend Jana to focus on [[US5]] completely.  His father was skeptical about his son joining the band and quitting school. 
Chris likes many types of music, and he was part of a [[gospel choir]] before joining [[US5]].{{Fact|date=January 2008}} He was offered a record deal at age of 14, but his parents forced him to refuse, or as said in an interview, he refused because he was more interested in girls.

The Blonde Stud is currently single. He hasn't dated anyone since his breakup with Jana. He admitted that he is looking for a girlfriend who will like him for himself and not because of his money. Chris' best friend is his band member [[Richie Stringini]]

Chris' likes to sing, dance, listen to music, he also likes to photograph, surf at the beach to keep his body in shape and he also likes to surf the net in his free time. His favourite food is Lasagna, Risotto and all variations of Chicken.
His favorite drinks include Cranberry Juice , Gatorade & Almdudler.
