The '''Electronic Video Agent''', or '''EVA''', is a [[fictional]] [[artificial intelligence]] featured in the [[science fiction]] [[real-time strategy]] [[computer game]] series [[Command & Conquer]]. Its counterpart is  [[Computer Assisted Biologically Augmented Lifeform|CABAL]].

While it is often used in the game universe as a generic term for all battlefield [[command and control]] systems, it actually refers to a specific device, a combined strategic artificial intelligence, [[military espionage|intelligence gathering]] tool, communication system and [[console]] interface, giving field commanders an [[omniscient]] view of the [[theater (warfare)|operational theatre]]. 

The technology was originally developed in the [[1950s]] computer revolution during the war between the [[Europe]]an powers and the [[Soviet Union]], and by the first Tiberian War in [[1993]] was the routine method of battlefield control; by the second Tiberian War in the [[2030s]], EVA had developed highly sophisticated [[natural language processing]] abilities and intelligent thought sufficient to make complex [[strategy|strategic]] and [[tactical]] decisions traditionally assigned to experienced commanders.

The [[original]] and [[authentic]] version of EVA is the exclusive property of the [[United Nations]], used by the executive and military arm of the [[United Nations Security Council]], the [[Global Defense Initiative]]; [[software piracy|pirated]] versions are known to exist, and have been used by the [[Brotherhood of Nod]] where their usual (equivalent) device, the [[Computer Assisted Biologically Augmented Lifeform]], has not been available.

In other Command and Conquer games, the player may be assisted by a young woman identified as Lieutenant Eva. Eva and her counterparts on the other side(s) perform similar duties to the EVA system, acting as a vocal interface for the player.
