Revision 27129766 of "Talk:Sigma Beta Rho" on enwiki

I'm removing the College of William and Mary from the list of schools with chapters. I am a current student, and am pledging one of two fraternity colonies at the school. I'm pledging Alpha Epsilon Pi, and we also have a Kappa Sigma colony. I had never heard of Sigma Beta Rho here so I searched the school site. I got one result, a page hosted by the student organization page, where most fraternities have theirs. However, no page had been created. The Council of Fraternity Affairs had no record of a colony here. My best guess is that a colony was on its way to being formed here, but the process stopped somewhere. I was unable to, at the Sigma Beta Rho site, see the list of chapters as intended. For now, I'll remove William & Mary, to err on the side of caution. We should definitely put it back up, however, if a chapter appears. --[[User:BDD|BDD]] 18:40, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

An important fact that was neglected in this site is that Sigma Beta Rho was founded mainly by individuals who either did not get bids, or dropped from the pledging process of another fraternity, Iota Nu Delta. Many fouunding fathers of Sigma Beta Rho colonis seek out Iota Nu Delta primarily, and choose to pledge Sigma Beta Rho only when Iota Nu Delta is no longer an option. Much of what they (Sigma Beta Rho) have accomplished in past years has simply been an emulation of Iota Nu Delta.... but you know the phrase: "Imitation is the best form of flattery"
