ErrMess Remote Computer is a Microsoft Windows based software, more commonly known as a RAT Prank(Remote Administration Tool). As with other RAT Pranks it uses a client and server. ErrMess Remote Computer is available as freeware. The software is easily removed from the system. ErrMess Remote Computer allows many actions on the victim's machine. Some of its abilities include:

* Open/close CD-ROM tray
* Send fake error messages
* Send fake balloon messages
* Make the computer beep
* Flip the screen
* Hide the taskbar, clock, start button, and other things
* Make the start button non-responsive

* Clip the cursor (allow it to move only in a small section of the screen)
* Hide desktop icons
* Make the screen flash
* Open websites
* Draw on the screen
* Browse the computer and download/upload multiple files from and to the server
* Keylogger
* Fake spyware advertisements
* Download a snapshot of the computers desktop.
* Bounce mouse cursor
* Fake Add or Remove Programs windows
* Fake Vista Upgrade Prank
* Fake [[BSOD]]
* Monitor visited URL's in [[Firefox]] and / or [[Windows Internet Explorer]]
* Disable / Enable Windows XP Firewall
* Choose between 11 sounds to be played on the server in the background
* Randomize keyboard layout

==ErrMess Remote Computer==
The first software was a simple prank program that would allow the user to customize seven error messages, then display them at a specific time. The user was also able to shut down the computer after the messages was displayed. This was all done locally. That's where the name comes from - "ERRor MESSages".

==ErrMess Remote Computer v4.1==
ErrMess is best known for ErrMess Remote Computer, a remote administration tool that allows a client to execute various, among others, some annoying and unwanted commands on the remote computer. A file called "errserver.exe", must be placed and ran on the remote computer, before "errclient.exe" can connect to it. Before a connection can be made, the remote computer's IP address or host name must be known.
