[[Late Night Shots]] is an exclusive, invite-only [[social networking]]
[[website]] based in [[Washington DC]].  The site was created by Reed Landry

Members with low user numbers (indicating early joiners) are generally
afforded a great deal of status and respect.  Its features include a
series of [[message boards|message board]], member profile pages and a "Spotter" through
which members are encouraged to report spotting other members at
various DC hot spots.  Although Late Night Shots remains
overwhelmingly DC-focused, a series of message boards have been created
for the cities of [[Charlottesville]], [[New York City]], [[Atlanta]], [[Charlotte]] and
[[Dallas]].

In July 2007 the ''[[Washington City Paper]]'' published an explosive and
highly controversial expose about Late Night Shots and the associated
scene.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/display.php?id=2008|accessdate=2007-07-12|title=Members Only|author=Angela Valdez}}</ref> Late Night Shots members reacted angrily in a lengthy series of comments on the ''Washington City Paper'' website, calling into question writer [[Angela Valdez|Angela Valdez's]] journalistic integrity and credentials, as well as her high school popularity.  The accuracy
of the ''City Paper'' article remains in dispute. Valdez was later let go from the ''Washington City Paper'' amid its chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in October, 2008.

Late Night Shots is generally considered one of the top social clubs in Washington, with its major competition being Northern-Virginia based "Club Beer Party." Club Beer Party is thought to be more beer-centered than LNS. Also, unlike LNS, Club Beer Party has a strict rule against charity events.

In September 2008 filming for a [[Reality television|reality show]] based on [[Georgetown, Washington, D.C.|Georgetown's]]

On Lifetime, It Is.|author=Lisa de Moraes}}</ref> The show is slated to air on the [[CW]] on July 7, 2009 with an order of 6 episodes spanning 5 weeks.  Casting
calls for show characters were open only to Late Night Shots members.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.pbandjtv.com/pbandjtv/Be%20on%20TV.html|title=Are you the next Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari or Brody Jenner?}}</ref>, and was narrowed down to [[Katherine Kennedy]], [[Krista Johnson]], and [[Sophie Pyle]]. It is unclear what role, if any, the site will play in ''BCM''.
