Revision 34464629 of "User talk:Emact" on enwiki== Category:Wikipedia administrative categories == I don't understand your edit summary in your recent change to [[:Category:Wikipedia administrative categories]], regarding "circularity is allowed". As mentioned in the [[:Category:Wikipedia administrative categories]] description, that category is for *nonencyclopedic* content, i.e., content not in the main article namespace. The [[:Category:Wikipedia]] category is for encyclopedic content, and should not contain the Administrative category as a subcategory. I've removed the link for now, and moved [[:Category:Wikipedia administrative categories]] to [[:Category:Fundamental]], since it should be the highest-level nonencyclopedic category. -- [[User:Creidieki|Creidieki]] 01:41, 10 December 2005 (UTC) == cfd labels == I noticed that you are marking a lot of categories with the cfd tag, but you are not listing them (or your reasons) on the cfd page. I would like to respond to some of them, but I would be making assumptions about your reasons for tagging them. Could you please give your reasons on the cfd page? [[User:CG janitor|CG janitor]] 10:50, 10 December 2005 (UTC) :More on this, the process for nominating a category for deletion includes BOTH adding the cfd tag and listing it at [[WP:CFD]]. The listing at [[WP:CFD]] is actually the more important step - categories that are only tagged are rarely noticed. Could you please look through your contributions for instances where you did this (tag only) and either remove the tag or create a [[WP:CFD]] listing? Thanks. -- [[user:Rick Block|Rick Block]] <small>([[user talk:Rick Block|talk]])</small> 15:36, 18 December 2005 (UTC) ::Whoops! Acknowledged! I am learning... -- [[User:Emact|Emact]] 04:14, 19 December 2005 (UTC) == Hi from the Whitman page == I received a message from you regarding the activity in the Charles Whitman posts. Thought you were an anon and since i have not been here long, left a snide remark because I thought the message was a snide remark. I would be happy to discuss the course of activity in a fair and impartial way with someone.[[User:Subwayjack|Subwayjack]] 03:14, 11 December 2005 (UTC)S : I am glad that we found a way to converse on a private channel. We now understand each other much better and I can say that both of us have strong emotions about our respective, favorite W pages. These emotions, for each of us, arise from a rational and substantial basis. For a lot of Wikipedians, this Internet stuff is very fluffy, but for you and I, the pain we feel is substantial and long-term. For us, Wikipedia is a means of, in a small way, righting wrongs. It is a sense of both justice and revenge. -- [[User:Emact|Emact]] 04:21, 19 December 2005 (UTC) == Please stop playing games == Hi Emact/Fplay, Since you've ''stated'' that both accounts are yours [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User%3AEmact&diff=31934648&oldid=30765952], these games you're playing have to stop. [[User:Zoe|Zoe]] is accountable for her actions, but didn't do anything wrong—and other admins, like me, would've unblocked you by now if they thought she had. So why don't you just agree not to use the bot further without getting approval, get yourself unblocked, and let it go? Thanks, [[User:SCZenz|SCZenz]] 04:42, 31 December 2005 (UTC) :If you really feel you were mistreated, you need to stop the games ''first'' and then get comments on Zoe's admin actions somewhere appropriate, like [[Wikipedia:Requests for comment]]. But what happened is that you made a mistake, and Zoe moved to stop you from doing accidental damage. Now you've responded by trying to get her in trouble using a sockpuppet. I promise you it won't work, and you have no excuse whatsoever for further trolling—I will consider further arguments on the AN/I page about Zoe's actions to be vandalism. -- [[User:SCZenz|SCZenz]] 04:58, 31 December 2005 (UTC) ::At the risk of repeating myself, I will emphasize: Zoe wasn't blocking you as a punishment, she was preventing apparently automated damage to Wikipedia. Does that answer your question? -- [[User:SCZenz|SCZenz]] 05:09, 31 December 2005 (UTC) I have blocked you (that is to say, this account) for 24 hours for trolling on [[WP:ANI]]. Please forget about this and move on. Thanks.--[[User:Sean Black|Sean]]|[[User talk:Sean Black|Bla]]<font color="green">[[Wikipedia:Esperanza|ck]]</font> 05:34, 31 December 2005 (UTC) : I'd like to emphasize Sean's last sentence. I aknowledge you've made great contributions—I've seen your many edits in going through [[Special:Uncategorizedcategories]] in particular. You're an asset to the community. Here all that's happened is that you made an honest mistake, then took the response too personally. You acted rather poorly as a result, and so you've been blocked for a bit. I sincerely hope you take some time to think, and turn from the course you've taken over the past few hours. Stop worrying about this incident, and go back to editing—there's lots to do and we need your help! -- [[User:SCZenz|SCZenz]] 06:27, 31 December 2005 (UTC) == Order of Merit category == Hello, You tagged a category I create <nowiki>[[Category:Order of Merit recipients]]</nowiki>d for deletion (although as far as I can tell it hasn't been listed on the categories for deletion page. I just want to say that what happened was I created the category and spent all night adding in members. The following day [[User:Proteus]] emptied my category and created his own <nowiki>Category:Members of the Order of Merit</nowiki>d and was very rude about it. I am rather upset that after all that work my name does not appear on the page's history. What I would like to see happen is for my category to be renamed to Members of the Order of Merit or merged with the existing one.
