'''Adobe Version Cue''' is a computer program sold by [[Adobe Systems]], only available as a part of the [[Adobe Creative Suite]]. Version Cue enables users to track and manipulate file versions and [[metadata]]. Users can see previews of older versions and can restore or delete versions at any time. Version Cue also supports collaboratively reviewing [[PDF]]s among groups of people.

Version Cue is accessed via [[Adobe Bridge]]. The Version Cue Server uses Java to run the synchronization server and [[JavaServer Faces]] to create a web-based administration portal. The portal reveals that running an instance of the Version Cue server also launches an embedded instance of the [[MySQL]] database server. This does not interfere with any existing MySQL installations.

Version Cue tried to solve the digital asset versioning problem, from the perspective of a creative professional. Traditional version control systems (VCS) like RCS, CVS, SVN have been targeted at software developers, creative professionals who are less savvy with VCS concepts were a prime audience for Version Cue. In the meantime alternatives to Version Cue have emerged in the market place.
