'''Moond''' is a [[clan]] of [[Jat people|Jats]] found in the States of [[Rajasthan]] and [[Haryana]] in [[India]]. Ramesh Chandra Gunarthi in his book “Rajasthani Jatiyon ki khoj” (1977) has mentioned about the origin of this gotra. One of the sons of Raja Mangal Rao Bhojsi of [[Bhati]] clan was Moonda who joined Jats. The descendants of Moonda are known as Moond. The capital of Moond Kings was at village [[Mandore]] in [[Jodhpur district]]. Other places connected with the history of Moonds are villages ''[[Munda]]'' ([[Churu district]]), ''[[Mundsar]]'' ([[Bikaner district]]), ''[[Mundara]]'' ([[Pali district]]), ''[[Mandawa]]'' ([[Jhunjhunu district]]), ''[[Mundwa]]'' ([[Nagaur district]]) etc. in [[Rajasthan]], [[India]].
Moond Jats are presently found in district [[Sikar]], [[Jodhpur]], [[Bikaner]], '''[[Barmer, Rajasthan|Barmer]]''' and [[Jhunjhunu]] in [[Rajasthan]]and [[Hisar]] and [[Fatehabad]] in [[Haryana]]. The famous persons of Moond or Moondh clan are Sheesh Ram Moondh, Director of Hidden Treasures India Destination Management Pvt. Ltd. He is from Karansar village of Sardarshahar telhil in Churu District.
