'''Paul Fregosi''' ([[Sydney, Australia]]), born in [[Marseilles]] and educated in [[United Kingdom|Britain]], [[author|wrote]] the widely praised ''Dreams of Empire: Napoleon and the First World War 1792-1815'' and ''Jihad in the West: Muslim Conquests from the 7th to the 21st Centuries''.

Paul Fregosi had four children:  Edward, Eva, Lindsey, and, his youngest, Isabelle.

He died in Brazil on January 31, 2001.  His body was buried next to that of his wife in St Remy de Provence, France.
