It's probably worth noting that, although I have not met Mr. Kerpen, [[Phil Kerpen|his brother]] is a good friend of mine. However, I think Mr. Kerpen easily meets the [[WP:GNG|general notability guideline]], and I have created this article accordingly. Per [[WP:CRYBLP]] and [[WP:SELFPUB]] it is clear that the confession to using bulk purchases is not a [[WP:NOR]] or a [[WP:BLP]] issue. And there still are no reliable sources on this topic—all sources included are blogs, one even a quotation from a comment section—so all we have is a dispute between Mr. Mendelson and Mr. Kerpen playing out on their own personal blogs, not an actual public controversy. ::Oh please. Per [[WP:SELFPUB]] a self-published blog is absolutely appropriate in this circumstance.  You want Wikipedia to promote this guy as a "best selling author" when he has admitted he bought his way onto the list. Why? If you think there are problems with the section as I wrote it then by all means 'Fix problems if you can, flag or remove them if you can't.' but otherwise [[WP:NOBLANKING]] is on point. :::I've been thinking about this, and I still don't think it's appropriate given available sourcing, not to mention how little "controversy" there supposedly was. [[WP:SELFPUB]] is still best for verifying details rather than identifying significant information; we still want third-party sources for that, and I was very careful in using well-recognized third-party sources to establish details in the rest of this entry. Besides, [[WP:VERIFY]] alone doesn't guarantee inclusion. I tried rewriting it neutrally in a few ways, but I just don't see it. I'm sure you'll disagree, however, and if you try to replace it I'd suggest making it a sentence or two of the ''Business and political career'' section. More than that would be completely [[WP:UNDUE]]. Likewise, the parenthetical statement in the introduction certainly does not belong. I am certain that I have the better of policy here, so I will not revert you just now; I welcome the chance to talk through this dispute with a third party. All right then, I came here from [[Wikipedia:Third_opinion]].  I think the Book Buying section should be removed.  The sources are [[WP:SELFPUB]] and [[WP:PROMOTIONAL]], and not valid (even though A-B-Economy is not promoting Mr. Kerpen).  Unless some indepedent, reliable sources can be found, the section should be removed, along with the mention in the lead.
