I'm writing this mainly because a vandalism revert showed up for the members page on my watchlist. Seeing as one of the requirements for Esperanza membership is 2 weeks presence on Wikipedia, and the semi-protection threshold is 4 days, that means that anyone who would be able to join Esperanza can anyway, while IPs and new vandalism users are prevented from editing the list. Just a thought. I remember when the sp policy was being discussed that many people were being very adamant that this was not to be used to prevent vandalism. Starting a new line, we were running out of space. This appears to have sparked a bit of tension. Let's try and keep things [[WP:CIVIL|civil]]! This was just a proposal that occurred to me after (what I presumed was) vandalism of the member page by an anonymous IP address. The IP was actually [[User:Prasi90|Prasi90]] attempting to slip himself into the member list without detection, as he is currently the subject of an [[Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Prasi90|RfC]] (which I began).
