Who created it?
Who actually created the Drawball, and when? Rmzy717 AT SCHOOL 20:18, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Whoever created it....
………The stupid Koreans destroyed it. God bless the USA.
:Koreans are so strange. --24.33.140.45 16:13, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
*I guess so, but just out of interest, would you be saying that if it was an american flag? --Kazikame 22:49, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
*I think it's best if the center just looked like the rest of the drawball --Dch111 01:34, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
Link messed up
The link to the drawball hall of fame redirects to microsoft. Wtf? Have the Koreans hacked it?
:It seems when the link was added, there was two https in the link. The link is now fixed. Douglasr007 02:14, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
Memes
Everything in this article seems fine except for the memes. Wouldn't it just be easier to just say that there's various internet memes on the Drawball? I mean the drawings on the Drawball are not permanent. Everyone can just draw a popular Internet meme and then add it onto the Meme list to make it look like it's popularly on there. The South Korean flag description can stay. Douglasr007 02:18, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
I think it's better the way it is, because then you get more of a sense of history on the Drawball. As long as they just stick to big images and images that are interesting to the general public for whatever reason.

I'd like to see some referneces...

Groups
Alright, how about some restrictions on the "groups" involved in Drawball? Surely some of these "groups" are not noteworthy. Hell, some of them only have a few hundred posts and a few members. 24.195.5.84 01:55, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
:Oops, I forgot to sign in. This was me. richjkl 01:55, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
I agree that the list of groups is getting very long and is only of minor importance to describing drawball. What is drawn by the large internet forums is no more important than the work done by individuals not associated with a particular forum. I think the groups section should be nothing more than a list of the groups without a description of their projects. Law98w 17:38, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
is the korean flag section still necessary?
i dont think it is, as its been gone for quite awhile and doesnt seem to be coming back.
:The flag is a notable part of the Drawball's history, so it should stay. --<font color="blue">TonyM</font> <font color="orange">キタ━( °∀° )━ッ!!</font> 12:42, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Ink regeneration
:Experienced users have noticed that the regeneration process seems to speed up if one 'stockpiles' ink. Some people suggest that one should constantly log on daily for several days without drawing — some have reported having 60-70% ink upon coming back after 2-3 days.
It seems to me that ink regenerates at a constant rate; it doesn't matter how much ink you have or if you're logged in. Last night my ink fell to 0%, I logged off, a few hours later I went to bed, and when I got up, I had 25%. This sounds consistent with "having 60-70% ink upon coming back after 2-3 days" despite me not having been logged in. Staying logged in might an issue if your IP is dynamic, but that doesn't seem to be what the article's talking about here. - furrykef (Talk at me) 23:49, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
:I still haven't noticed anything special about the ink regeneration, so I removed that part until I see some evidence that the rate of ink regeneration ever changes. - furrykef (Talk at me) 00:53, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Concerning Hall of Fame and Protected Pictures
Two things have come to my attention:
1. The Hall of Fame has not been updated in like, forever. There are protected artworks that are not in the hall. I doubt the site manager has the time or the effort anymore now that drawball has gained so many people that the artwork is always changing and it is difficult to keep up with protecting/incorporating all the good pictures. Many qualifying pictures are lost this way. This is just as clarification, so people won't wonder why the hall of fame is so limited and why some pictures that are not in the hall of fame are clearly superior to some in the hall. Seriously, the hall is overrated and oversold by the site (which I bet hasn't been personally updated for awhile anyway, and just let to sit).
2. Not all protected sections are Hall of Fame material. There seems to be some other incentives, sometimes to appease groups, protect (and thus maintain respect of) certain political/religious/etc. entities, perhaps if he/she is supporting that entity or risks massive retaliation (for instance, the protection of the Canadian leaf and the hasty protection of the Jesus and Satan pictures, with a crudely drawn vandalism arrow still in it), and also, apparently random places that were probably battlegrounds of vulgar dispute and were thus made into "no-man's-lands" (see the mysterious protected section above the Canadian flag).
I've incorporated only a summary of these findings into the article that I have ascertained to be true; add whatever else from this you wish (if my article edits need the support) or discuss the issue further.--Dch111 02:41, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
Does anyone know why the "Japanese-artwork" and "The last supper" pictures that reside/used to reside in a rectangle located in the lower-right are/were not protected and constantly vandalized? If you had seen them when they were just made, you would know what I am talking about. --68.193.96.36 02:38, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
:Probably they're too big, and/or were made by multiple users (don't know if being made by a single user is a requirement) It's also possible that they were made using automated tools, which is not allowed --Random|832 18:21, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
Mario?
Nothing was said about the mario? I'm not sure where it came from, so I'm not liable to write the article.
* It is mentioned. It's called a LUEshi. --Lyght 02:26, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
* It is is called LUEshi and it has been up there for a long time. It should be protected by now.
Where's...
WALDO! We should totally make a Waldo and see who finds it first!
Stop using wikipedia to promote Drawball projects.
for example:
"On April 30th, 2006, the "Bring Back Pepsi" movement has started. Everyone get rid of the giant /b/ and lets bring back the giant Pepsi logo! It was cool and made fun of when those guys put a giant flag in the middle, BRING BACK PEPSI!"
Go find a forum or something. Seriously.
*Seconded. It's ads like this that make people want to delete the article. I think we need an actual, organized history, or at least a "screenshot record" containing screenshots of the ball every two weeks or every month. That way the readers can see for themselves instead of getting sold out by various self-promoters. --Dch111 01:37, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
::A screenshot record would have to be more like every week, note how fast the OT logo was put into place, and that was a MAJOR MAJOR change. It just moves too fast to really have a pictoral section in my opinion. The "misc" tag maybe should be replaced with "history" and be treated as an active log of ongoing developments taking place on the ball. Chris Redfield 02:04(UTC) 24 May 2006
Proposed deletion
Since the tag was added as a minor edit and without an edit summary, I have to ask, what makes you think drawball is a non-notable website with two million hits a day and over 25 thousand mentions on google? What in your opinion qualifies as a notable website, or game, or community for that mattter? --BigCow 07:26, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Don't delete this article, it has value. It needs to cleaned up,true, but not deleted. Garfieldt 15:04, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Actually, it was added <s>as a major edit</s> with a summary, a second edit was made to subst: it. As for your question, it fails WP:WEB, also the quality of the article is abysmal. -Objectivist-C 15:59, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
I think it should be cleaned-up rather than deleted. It (the attack against Korea, which is probably the main reason it is on here, contrary to misleading promotion that shouldn't take up such a large porportion) was a major internet event that involved many major website participants who all have their own articles on Wikipedia. In addition to the well-known event, groups involved in massive creations on the site (such as ebaumsworld and worth1000) are big enough to have their own article. If not big enough in hits, it is at least a major culmination point of the Internet and significant to internet culture. If this article must be deleted, however, I strongly suggest that the major Korean flag incident remain; as a stub article or as part of another article involving internet issues and culture, etc. --Dch111 23:10, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
Here are two tables. Place your name in the one where your oppinion lies.
Once the vote reaches at least 25 votes, the first side to achieve a majority of 2.5 to 1 will get their ways. If you are "For Deletion", you choose for this article to be deleted. If you are "Against Deletion", you want this article to remain. --wrestlenovi 22:10, 8 May, 2006 (UTC)

Context Tag
I just added two sentances to the beginning to try to explain what drawball is exactly. It seems like a step in the right direction to me.... Monkey 32606 04:32, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
Regarding Bunchies
Bunchies is considered the tag of General Mayhem. It should definitely not be 'above' being in the logos and tags section. Also, you can see that the information in the section is, for the most part, copy and pasted from the Logos and Tags section. Lastly, Bunchies is relativily short-lived compared to the Korean Flag, which stood for a long while or LUEshi which still stands to this day. 68.42.213.177 21:56, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
I agree. The Yoshi and Mario symbol that LUE claims has been on there far longer than Bunchies has; infact, it's been on there longer than any other symbol, as seen in the screenshots. If an article is going to be given to the Bunchies, another article dedicated to the "LUEshi" would only be fair. 67.142.130.39 22:14, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Yeah seriously, WTF at LUEshi getting barely any mention. It's one of the only non protected images in all of the screenshots.
The LUEshi is quite large, has been there for a long time and is also quite recognizable. If Bunchies gets an article LUEshi should get an article too. ````
Stop uploading Drawball images
We do not need to update the drawball image every couple of days. Look in the history, pick one, and stick with it. I personally think you should go for the one with most banners/logos visible. Most of the stuff on here isn't even encyclopedic. We don't upload new images for every newspaper front page, we shouldn't be uploading images for every stupid internet painting. How many images do you need? 1 main image and an image of the Korean flag maybe (if it was really that important an event in Drawball history). Here's a list of the Drawball pictures on Wikipedia, you should pick one.

There's no point in uploading an image every couple of days. You just need one to show what the drawball is. - Hahnch<span title="WP:Esperanza"><font color="green">e</font></span>n 17:12, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
:I agree completely; we do not need a live update of every little change on the site. It's obvious that there is a political bias here as OT started their T right after May 20, and since OffTopic's T is the biggest drawing on Drawball, I think it would be best to include an image that depicts the giant T. Mace 05:11, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Points of Interest Section
Removed text
Hi there! I removed this text here: - I don't think having periodic updates on the state of the drawball would constitute encyclopedic content - although I do find it interesting to read, I think this article should focus on some other things. Thoughts? Feel free to reinstate the text if necessary. --HappyCamper 00:55, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
:If you see the conversation above this, you're not the only one in this camp. I found this article when deleting links to ytmnd, and its appaling. == Need a Drawball history site ==
I think this article is very interesting, but simultaneously too detailed for Wikipedia and yet not detailed enough for people with an interest in the Drawball. This is a great opportunity to study a social phenomenon but the owners seem to be keeping their data locked behind closed doors. Why doesn't someone create a free collaborative site where they can post periodic images of the Drawball and discuss all of the notable images and logos that come and go and their associated author groups and so on? It could be called Drawball History or something, and linked from here. I think a wiki would work well for it, but many of these images aren't notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia.
