GfK NOP was formed in 2005 when NOP World was acquired by the German research group [[GfK]] from [[United Business Media]] and merged with UK-based GfK Martin Hamblin. GfK's Mystery Shopping and Field Marketing department is based in their Oxford, [[England]], office.
