Revision 60504337 of "Talk:Forex teachers" on enwikiCheers, Let me know your concerns here, before nominating this article for deletion. I am eager to contribute to Wikipedia and have spent some time writing and polishing this article. If there is something you don't agree with, you're welcome to improve it, or discuss the improvements with me, I'm very flexible. But please do not nominate the article for deletion before discussing it here. Thank you, Pete8 00:01, 22 June 2006 (UTC) :Hi Pete8, one reasons was that the article does not provide contex and clues about notability of the subject. Moreover encyclopedias (including Wikipedia) do not contain even articles about Mathematics teachers or English teachers - so why to have Forex teachers? I think that in the spirit of Wikipedia would be to work with the category Education_by_subject and perhaps add a subcategory, and to create a general article like Mathematics education and possibly separate articles about notable teachers of this discipline, and to link all this using the category. :But the first question should be: Is Forex education established enough to have a separate article? If it is still not established and you are one of the first persons trying to formulate general guidelines in this field, then Wikipedia is not the right place for it - read WP:OR. You must extablish the discipline "Forex education" elsewhere - e.g. by publishing scholarly articles - then wait some time, and then you have the right to write a Wikipedia article :-) Happy editing! --Ioannes Pragensis 07:16, 22 June 2006 (UTC) :Hi Ioannes Pragensis, first of all I wanted to thank you for replying here instead of just deleting the article. I understand your concerns and they are very reasonable. I may be wrong, but I do not believe that one article should be removed based on that similair articles on other subjects don't exist. Even though this particular topic isn't available in an ordinary dictionary (Although Forex education has been discussed before and the term is not just invented by me :), doesn't necessarily mean that it dosn't belong on Wikipedia, since Wikipedia is very far advanced in fields where other dictionaires fail, hasn't even Jimbo Wales said somewhere that Wikipedias technical information is more advanced than other dictionaries, and that would mean Wikipedia is pioneering in some fields :) This information is interpreted from sources, at first I had those sources listed but they were removed by another user, but I will add them now again so you and everybody else could take a look at them. I think this article is very useful information and a good compliment to the Foreign exchange article, since people would probably wonder where to learn more about Foreign Exchange. I would think it very sad if this information would be completely removed, it could be structured better, like your suggestion of making it adhere to Education. I would be very happy if you or other Wikipedians would like to help me with this task. Thank you, Pete8 10:33, 22 June 2006 (UTC) :Hi again! I cannot help you with the substantial work, because I am not expert in Forex. But if you have technical questions, you can ask me on my discussion page, in some cases I know how to proceed. I added a cleanup tag there, so perhaps somebody happens to go around and helps you with the work. Greretings, --Ioannes Pragensis 11:06, 22 June 2006 (UTC) :Hi Ioannes Pragensis! I really appreciate you taking your time with the article. A cleanup tag was a very good idea, thank you. I might have a question which is technical oriented, it concerns the picture uploaded in this article, I will post the question on your discussion page. Sincerely, Pete8 16:16, 22 June 2006 (UTC) == External links == Please don't add those links selling products back to the article. They are not suitable for inclusion. --GraemeL (talk) 16:25, 22 June 2006 (UTC) :Hi GraemeL! Thanks for replying on the discussion. Those links contain much information about the various courses, and I have based most of the articles on them. Why shouldn't they be referenced as sources? Thank you, Pete8 16:29, 22 June 2006 (UTC) ::The second one was nothing but an eBay auction and was wholly inappropriate. The first one is primarily commercial in nature. The article is on Forex teachers, not individual Forex teachers. There should be no need to link to the sites of individuals, especially when the primary reason for those sites is to sell their products. ::For the article to avoid being nominated for deletion, it really needs to be on Forex teachers as a group. What they do and how they do it. As it stands, it is little more than a collection of individuals who are not notable enough to have their own articles. Try taking a look at other articles, they may mention individuals in the field, but their main focus is on the field itself. I have seriously considered submitting the article for deletion, but you show willingness to learn how to make this a good entry, so I'm holding off my decision for a few days to see how it progresses. --GraemeL (talk) 16:40, 22 June 2006 (UTC) :Hi GraemeL! Thank you for not submitting it to deletion directly, I am looking into how I could improve the article to meet with the demands. GraemeL, could you help me improve the article? (I could really use some help :) Thanks again, Pete8 17:23, 22 June 2006 (UTC) :I don't really know anything about the subject, but I will keep an eye on things and help out with formatting and language as the article evolves. --GraemeL (talk) 17:30, 22 June 2006 (UTC) == Calling out for help! == Hi all! I call on all fellow Wikipedians to help me out to improve and expand this article, so it won't be nominated for deletion. I have invested time and effort in the research and writing of this article, it would be a pity if it would be deleted. Please help me out. Thank you so much for your help, Pete8 11:20, 23 June 2006 (UTC) :You might get some response if you ask on the Forex talk page. --GraemeL (talk) 12:13, 23 June 2006 (UTC) :Thanks for the advice, I just posted it there. Hopefully someone will follow along and help out. Thanks again, Pete8 19:35, 23 June 2006 (UTC) ==Commercialization== This article as it stands right now ends up be a commercial endorsement of a select number of Forex educators. Even if you provided a list of 100, it really doesn't say anything of any value to those who use wikipedia for reference. If you have your heart set on doing this, I highly recommend that you start with a disambiguation page that lists every Forex educator offering commercial services. Then invite the individuals to write a non-commercial autobiography to post on individual pages. None of the individuals cited have credentials that would separate them from the hundreds of Forex trainers, educators, and signal callers offering training/education services. I'm suspect the underlying purpose of this is to get Google to index it and, thereby, give a small group of unknowns exposure they don't deserve. As reference, I suggest everyone interested in Peter's proposal read the following report that came out of Fox 31 in Denver. http://www.fox31news.com/_ezpost/data/6465.shtml Accurate or not, there's certainly no concensus in Forex trading circles that 4xMadeEasy is an authority in Forex trading. The same goes for everyone else. Until one is appointed head of the Federal Reserve, everyone would better be served getting their testimonials from somewhere else. Ezgoing85018 == Why not just an article on James Dicks? == The Forex teaching is just a scam - according to 2 news reports - so why not delete the "Forex teachers" article take out the bottom 2 guys, and just include the documented material on Dicks under an article "James Dicks"?
