'''Neuropa''' is the name of the [[Nazism|Nazi]] vision of a new [[Europe]] - Neu is new in [[German language|german]]. It was a vision of a new unified Europe. This would be organised with a [[racial]] [[hierarchy]] dominated first by Germans, then by other Germanic peoples ([[scandinavia|Scandinavians]], [[Dutch people|Dutch]] and [[Belgians]].) Under these would be other nationalities, with the [[Slavic peoples|slavonic]] peoples [[Poles]], [[Czechs]] etc. reduced to lower class manual labour.
[[Jews]], [[Gypsy|Gypsies]] and people of [[Africa]]n ancestry were to be deported or exterminated.
The term was revived in the context of [[Euromayday|€uroMayDay]].

The [[African American]] (and [[Pan-Africanism|Pan African]]), [[W.E.B. DuBois]] wrote an article "Neuropa: Hitler's New World Order" in [[1941]], where he discussed comparisons between his experiences in Germany in [[1892]] - [[1894]] and his trips there in [[1928]] and [[1936]]. He remarked that there was broader basis of democracy than before the first world war, when society was run for the benefit of the monarchy, the nobility and the rising capitalists in finance and industry. He discusses the [[precarity]] which was suffered more acutely by middle class civil servants and clerks who were "wracked by fear of being klevelled down to workers". DuBois focusses on the mass education campaigns of the Nazis, which followed those of the [[Russia]]n [[Bolshevik]]s Italy|Italian]] [[fascist]]s. However by substituting germanism for class struggle, he was ablt gain the support of big business, and his [[racist]] programme appealed to [[middle class]] germans who saw [[jews]] as "intellectual rivals and commercial competitors" However behind "all this smoke and propaganda" DuBois saw a more significant and older phenomenon, the [[Rationalisation Movement]] which had developed the german economy as a [[planned economy]].

"Neuropa" is also the name of an Australian synth-pop band.

Neuropa the band does not subscribe or support any of Hitler's views on a New World Order.
