'''Bursa''' is a [[Provinces of Turkey|province]] in western [[Turkey]], along the [[Sea of Marmara]]. Its adjacent provinces are [[Balikesir Province|Balikesir]] to the west, [[Kutahya Province|Kutahya]] to the south, [[Bilecik Province|Bilecik]] and [[Sakarya Province|Sakarya]] to the east, [[Kocaeli Province|Kocaeli]] to the northeast and [[Yalova Province|Yalova]] to the north. The province has an area of 11,087 km<sup>2</sup> and a population of 2,125,140 according to the 2000 census. In 1990 it had a population of 1,603,137. The population per km<sup>2</sup> is 191.68. The traffic code is 16. 

The capital is the ancient city of [[Bursa]]. Other cities include [[Mudanya]], [[Zeytinbagi]] ([[Trilye]]), [[Gemlik]] and [[Iznik]] ([[Nicaea]]). The Bursa Province is divided into seventeen districts: Nilüfer, Y&#x131;ld&#x131;r&#x131;m, Osman Gazi, Büyük Orhan, Gemlik, Gürsu, Harmanc&#x131;k, &#x130;negöl, &#x130;znik, Karacabey, Kales, Kestel, Mudanya, Mustafa Kemal Pa&#x15F;a, Orhaneli, Orhangazi and Yeni&#x15F;ehir.
