'''StarLink.Org''' is a general-purpose [[Internet Relay Chat|IRC]] network founded in 15. July 1996, initially intended to be a friendly and stress-free network, committed to defending its users from [[abuse]] and prohibiting channels possibly inappropriate topics, including [[warez]] and [[cybersex]].

The network was initially known as just ''StarLink''', until on 1. January 1997, less than half a year after the network was founded, the channel service staff and most of the operators and founders left to form a  separate network [known as StarLink-IRC.Org] due to tensions between the staff snd network owner.
