Revision 68436 of "Jason_Frost" on enwikiIn 1991, Jason Frost got his start in rock music while living in Olympia, WA,(near Seattle) where he played coffee houses, small clubs, & parties. Many of the grunge bands like [[Nirvana]], *[[Marcy Playground]], etc... started out in this town. He jammed and practiced in warehouse space previously rented to Nirvana, and played in Band Alley where he shared space with some of the biggest names in Rock. Jason turned down his first music deal with Sub-Pop in 1994. (If he had accepted the record deal, he probably would have been a household name by now). At the time it was probably the wrong and arrogant choice to make, but he continued to play and refine his skills on a local level in [[Seattle]]. This is where he met Shawn Parke and wrote w/the Base and the Boom, which got some national airplay a few years back. When the scene died in Seattle around 96', Jason headed south to Los Angeles where he hooked up with Vaughn and together they made Blue Moon & Company's first album. The first album was never picked up by a major label, and Jason never landed a Music deal. So he tried distributing it himself, driving all around the country in his car, handing out CD's at clubs, to strangers on the street, at the beach, and at parties. His plan worked and he had Blue Moon & Company's 1st CD playing on College Radio Stations, Local Shows, Over 60 Reviews & Articles were written about it. But the Record Labels weren't Interested in signing the band. He finally ended up in South Florida where he gave up on the old Blue Moon & Company stuff & attempted to revive the band by adding new members, and keeping the bands name. This band quickly fell apart and never even made it to the stage. Discouraged Jason recorded a solo album entirely for his own self satisfaction. He didnt do it in the standard commercial song format. He didnt care, cause it was from the heart. And there was no intention of marketing it . The title was Roman Frost and it is all acoustic, some of his most emotional work to date. Oddly enough, there is no mention of "Jason" Frost on the album, he did it entirely under a new name, Roman Frost, in an attempt to dissociate himself from (himself) & previous failures. After completing the album and without any attempt to demo it, or market it, on a whim he decided to send it to a radio station that supports unsigned artists and often played Blue Moon & Company's music(ZETA 94.9 in Miami); and he waited by the radio for weeks, and when they didnt play it, he was shocked & insulted because he had put his heart and soul into these songs. And all they played was underground commercial-wannabe garbage. Upset and saddened he laid his guitar down, and vanished. Where did he go? Blue Moon and Company recently changed it's name to *[[The Love Junkies]] Additional information can be found at the *[[Blue Moon & Company]] Website at http://www.jasonfrost.com All content in the above text box is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license Version 4 and was originally sourced from https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?oldid=68436.
