Wahlau, or better known as Wahlau-eh is a common slang word used initially by Singaporeans around the early 90s. It is simply an expression of "Wow!" or "Oh my!" or something we use when we just want to be more expressive. 

now it is probably easily understood by many in both Malaysia and Singapore. Some from these two countries had used it rather casually in daily life.
