Voter suppression
I understand why you changed it, and I understand why you thought it was POV, and I agree with you. However, I wish you hadn't removed the example of voter suppression without offering another example. --Jon K. 01:56, Nov 11, 2004 (UTC)

Keeping "In the news" NPOV and credible
Following various attempts to add partisan and fringe stories to :Template:In the news, I've proposed a new criterion to keep such stuff out. Could you please take a look at Wikipedia talk:In the news section on the Main Page and let me know what you think? -- ChrisO 19:10, 12 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Pnikolov
Could I prevail upon you to have a look at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Pnikolov, especially becuase I had occasion to mention you there? -- Jmabel | Talk 22:16, Nov 12, 2004 (UTC)

Camera
Hello !

Firstly thanks for all the pictures you are sharing :o) Wich camera do you use to take those pictures ? :o)

Hashar 09:10, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

:I've used three different digital cameras to take the pictures. For the Japan, Washington DC, Johns Hopkins, and US Naval Academy pics I used a Canon PowerShot G1; for the Thailand pictures I used a Canon PowerShot S110 (the worst camera of the three); and for the remainder I used a Nikon D70 (the best camera by far of the three). I also improved many of the pictures using Adobe Photoshop. Thanks for your compliments. 15:55, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

::Thanks for the answer, keep taking pictures !! :o) Hashar 18:02, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

VfD vote from Charm
(See Wikipedia:Votes_for_deletion/2004_U.S._Election_controversies_and_irregularities)
Hi. You obviously have been here a lot longer than I have, so perhaps you can help? I'm concerned that the comment you added to an anon vote almost appears to apply to my vote as well because of the indentation. However, if I move the indentation of the anon vote out to match the other votes, then it will get its own number in the numbered list, and will then appear to be counted. Could you help me figure out how to set it apart (horizontal rules, a new section for Anon votes, or some other better idea you come up with) from my vote without adding it to the count? Thanks in advance. Charm 21:46, Nov 13, 2004 (UTC)

:I've reformatted it a bit so the anonymous vote is numbered the same as the others - it should be quite clear now that my comment does not refer to your vote. 22:18, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

::Thanks. I guess it doesn't matter that much that the anon vote is being counted now, because the admins will review the votes? (Not to mention it appears a pretty convincing consensus anyway.) Charm 22:24, Nov 13, 2004 (UTC)

gig poster adds to "poster" def.
not spamming, not commercially interested.
casually rolling through wikipedia and saw the entire subject is ignored. i don't feel the urge to write several articles about "gig poster" "frank kozik" blah blah, so i included a recommendation to an online library of the art form.

:no it does not. I cited the website where i got it from.

then if i cant put that on it, then change it, update it, and add more to her page, so i wont have the cause too.

Please don't revert the changes done on Lee Kuan Yew unless you know more facts about this person.

No problem with IE
Just to let you know, no problem with your tables with IE here

Misunderstood
I'm more misunderstood than you could possibly imagine. More misunderstood than the long-term effects of the Punic Wars. More misunderstood than Pink. If only you saw how misunderstood I was, maybe you would show more restraint before deleting my user page. I think we are all entitled to our little place on wikipedia, don't you? I certainly do. And I don't think this point will be misunderstood by you. Misunderstandings are avoidable. I think we should both do our part in the future. Thank you, good day, and keep up the fight against real patent nonsense that threatens the future viability of Wikipedia for our children. We have no other choice. We must move onward. Nothing will stand in the way of creating the best copyleft encyclopedia that our collective energy can create. Nothing will stop the brilliant prose that flows from our keyboards into the collective consciousness of the internet and the minds of free people worldwide. Nothing will end our fight against censorship in Russia and the Baltic States that keeps Wikipedia from them. We will prevail, once we are able to identify who the real enemies are in Wikipedia and fight them with all of our collective might. We will prevail through rollbacks, good editing, expedient blocks, collective arbitration, fairness, and most of all, reason. I know that you know this. Since you know this, certainly you should be willing to reconsider certain viewpoints. Creativity has to be fostered, truth has to be created where once there was none. If this is not to be done by us, it will not be done. If it is not done by me, it will not be done. If it is not done by you, it will not be done. Done is done, and it will be done or it will not be done. And when it is done, we will all be thankful that it is done and will feel foolish for ever standing in the way of it being done or not working hard enough to make it done. Done will be such an obvious conclusion that we will question ourselves why we never thought of it before. And after our conclusion, we will be done. Done will then be done. Done.

Gotcha!!! your baised edits show you up old chap
I have been noticing your political edits all over Occupation of Iraq article ? These edits do not seem in any way to contribute towards the knowledge on the subject in a neutral manner. But seem to be deliberate act of vandalism in support of US policy in Iraq. For instance you have removed all references to US soldiers committing atrocities in Iraq and Civilian deaths. You have removed all references that the war was illegal even though the UN declared the war illegal ? We only quoted from the UN Gen assembly - you have even removed the words of the UN secretary Gen on Iraq.... You have removed references from a dozen newspapers that report on the occupation of Iraq as that puts the US in a poor light. You have removed the account on the violence on the Iraqi people and their suffering from the page.

But you know the rest of the world has a point of view as well along with many Iraqi people who visit this page OCCUPATION OF IRAQ and contribute to the reality of whats going on in that country under occypation. The page is ruined now with signs of your grubby deletions all over it in favour of your president & country. (81.1.116.163 | talk)

:Instead of just reverting to an article several places down on Occupation of Iraq why don't you read the contributions of others and edit them isf you disagree - The community will be able to see what your edits are -

:So if you disagree edit instead of revert its a very long article and we would like to see what exactly you are objecting to and if it is justified

:kind regards

Jaffa, Israel
Regarding your revert of Jaffa Page

Some matter was taken with permission from: http://www.palestineremembered.com/index.html

This site is by Palestinian refugees some of whom are from Jaffa - They have a free policy of letting others use their material as in fact they encourage people to use their material please go to their website, You may also contact them to confirm

- You will see that the article on Jaffa is factual and NPOV - Read it carefully
I have also included references from various books and if you see the latest edit I have also put a copyright notice.

However I do not mind rewriting it entirely as some of us are from Jaffa city it and we intend to put up some photographs too of Jaffa's fine building.

I wish to point out that there are those in Jaffa who might not like the references to the pre 1947 population of the city and wish it forgotten but these people, themselves are articulate and quite capable of editing those parts they wish to see changed and are free to do so under wikipedia policy.

I would love to see both sides of the argument presented in a NPOV manner

If you wish to edit it do so we accept there are flaws - If anyone else is unhappy then wikipedia is democratic and they can express their opinion via edits or discussion

However by removing it you are bound to cause some raised eyebrows

Kindest regards (81.1.116.184 | talk)

thank you
Thank you for catching and reverting some vandalism to several pages recently, one of which was to a page I had originally created about an American author. Someone with an Asian IP had gone in and put a bunch of links all over the bottom of that page without my knowing and done the same to several other entries I didn't work on, but somehow you caught all of it and fixed the pages vandalized by that user IP. You are my hero of the week. :-) Bebop 15:49, 21 Nov 2004 (UTC).

Could you explain how the ArbCom "get out the vote" tag works?
I was impressed that you made a tag of the "Get Out the Vote" banner and links.

Where is this maintained? Can you explain how it works?

I had second thoughts about asking someone to do this early on, instead of asking people to make their own copies, because I was worried a vandal could edit the central source and damage a lot of pages all at once.

Is it possible to protect the source so there are no unwanted surprises with its appearance or where the links lead to?

If not, wouldn't it be better for everyone to have their own copy on each of their pages?

Thanks for helping out. I really hope the upcoming election is better publicized before it starts.

Cheers,

--DV 13:37, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)

:Thanks for explaining how the template works.

:I'll start using it for its sheer convenience, but I would feel better if it was protected from vandals.

:Cheers,

::OK, I went ahead and changed all of my user pages to use it, as well as the article talk pages where I had first posted it. Thanks. --DV 16:43, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Recreated article
Hello. I noticed that Greatest hits of Enrico Caruso Vol. 2 has been recreated. You and Infrogmation have each deleted that article once in the last few days. Since the article appears to be similar to many other track listing 'articles' we have, I wanted to consult you before deleting it for a third time. This article is by the same anon responsible for the possible Mexican radio nonsense campaign. I was wondering why you deleted this article before? Thank you. SWAdair | Talk 03:45, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I have stopped
Sorry, I was just trying to do something funny for a friend and then remove it. No harm done.

Made in Heaven
My first impulse was to leave the follow-up column blank, but I looked at other chronologies first, and those seem to indicate that compilation albums are included, e.g. Unplugged (Alice in Chains) has a regular album as a predecessor and Nothing Safe: Best of the Box as successor, even though the latter is a best-of album with no original material. Not only that, even non-albums are included. Take The Song Remains the Same (album), for example, which has a movie as a follow-up.

This was my first contribution to Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums, so forgive me if I was mistaken... It seems clearer policy on this is needed. (And of course I agree that Made in Heaven was the last true Queen album, and damn all those necrophilic cash-in follow-ups to hell, too. :-) JRM 18:51, 2004 Dec 5 (UTC)

Fubini's theorem
Hi, you reverted my changes to Fubini's theorem. I am not an expert on this, so correct me if I'm wrong, but the statement
:<math>\int_A f(x)\, dx \int_B g(x)\, dx = \int_{A\times B} f(x)g(x)\,dx</math>
does not make much sense to me, since on the right-hand-side the x is drawn from <math>A \times B</math>, which is not the domain of f or g.
What does
:<math>\int_0^1 f(x)\, dx \int_0^1 g(x)\, dx = \int_{[0,1]^2} f(x)g(x)\,dx</math>
mean? I guess it should be
:<math>\int_0^1 f(x)\, dx \int_0^1 g(x)\, dx = \int_{[0,1]^2} f(x)g(y)\,d(x,y)</math>
with x and y drawn from [0,1] respectively.

Therefore I still think my changes were correct and the current version is not.
Could you please take another look at it? (128.59.21.105 | talk)

:I'll talk with User:Michael Hardy, but he just made a comment about the left-hand-side of the equation with which I don't have any problem (x/y are just indices). I guess he withdrew his comment when he saw that the point was the right-hand-side.

:Thanks! (128.59.21.105 | talk)
