'''StarLink-IRC''', commonly abbreviated as '''SL-IRC''', is a general-purpose [[Internet Relay Chat|IRC]] network that split from [[StarLink.Org]] on 1 January, 1997. It reestablished its original goal to be a family-friendly cybertown, reasonably free from [[abuse]] and prohibiting channels on inappropriate topics such as [[warez]] and [[cybersex]].  The rules are designed to keep the network family-friendly and remain an open network (as opposed to a number of "family" networks that are inaccessible to most or unacceptably strict).

Some of the most popular channels on Starlink-IRC are support channels, including the [[autistic]] community as well as a number of other support groups that have been using StarLink-IRC since 1997.
