'''Thaqskong''' is one of the ancient villages of Baltistan which is located almost at the centre of Khaplu, the district headquarters of district Ganche, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Thaqskong comprises of about one hundred households. Thaqskong presents an awsomely beautiful panoramic view of famous river Shyok and its nearby villages. The residents of Thaqskong are well known for their religious virtues, generosity, piety, legality and safety mindedness, etc. They earn their living mainly by farming and secondly by joining uniformed and civil services of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Some people are now doing small and medium enterprises also other than traditional farming.⏎
