Our world is chemically composed of more than 112 chemical elements which occur naturally or have been developed artificially. These chemical elements exist in elemental forms as well as in combination with each other like copounds and mixtures. Humen, animals and plants depend on these chemical elements for survival and growth both. For example the foods we eat contain chemical elements like carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, etc and the fuels we burn also contain chemical elements. Clothings, medicines, materials of construction and every thing contain chemical elements. Therefore, good knowledge of chemical and physical properties and good uses of chemical elements, compounds, mixtures and pure substances are essential for developing kind hearts and merciful minds.
