Revision 16961148 of "User:-sche" on enwiktionary
Hi, I'm Sche ([ʃeɪ], like the tree). :)
I am become Death, destroyer of words. I delete words and senses that sit on RFV for more than a month or so without evidence of use. Do not re-enter them without valid citations.<!-- --> Equinox, Ruakh, Liliana-60, Beobach972, Mglovesfun, TheDaveRoss and I and others brought the page down from its all-time high, on 20 May 2009, of 988,439 bytes. I have a list of the few remaining tagged-but-not-listed entries (and entries I haven't tagged yet) at User:-sche/RFV.
In the past, I worked on updating Wiktionary:English adjectives. Recently, I have been working from this list to create English entries for the names of all the languages Wiktionary includes, and to ensure that Wiktionary gives each language the most common (attested) distinct name it has (User:-sche/langnames, :User:-sche/languagecs).
As I work on language names, I also work with language codes, and I overhauled<!--:Category:Language templates, Wiktionary:Languages, Wiktionary:Index to templates/languages, templates, :Category:Etymology templates; Appendix:ISO 639-5 language codes. Wiktionary:Beer_parlour_archive/2010/September#qfa--> WT:Languages, WT:Families and WT:Dialects to better document Wiktionary's language-code-naming system.

::These words' etymologies begin with variants of "c." :: There are some parts of CFI that the community seems to want to clarify: place names (Ottawa, Louvre), brand names (especially of not-obviously-physical products), phrasebook entries (like this one).
:: There is consensus to change the following sections of CFI, but a vote has yet to be proposed: Idiomaticity, Natural Languages, possibly Constructed Languages, (Brand Names), Names of Specific Entities.
