La plantilla ''Multimedia externa'' permite enlazar artículos mediante [[WP:EX|enlaces externos]], estos son usualmente para acompañar a la sección evitando redundar su contenido con la sección ''enlaces externos''. Este es equivalente a la de {{tl|Multimedia}} sólo en contenido no alojado en [[Wikimedia Commons]].
