| about me = I'm a Computer Science researcher working on my PhD in the GroupLens Research lab at the University of Minnesota. I moonlight as a Wikimedia Foundation staff researcher. It's a good collaboration.
The majority of my work in English Wikipedia involves the development and maintenance of user scripts that enable communication or otherwise provide insight into the editing process. See my research protocol for more information. I also like to edit articles relating to computer science, mycology, psychology and philosophy.
| about my work = I use the scientific method to explore the underlying patterns of wiki-work, to discover problems and to invent new tools for readers, editors and community organizers.
