== Biochimie ==
Un acide oxalylate tétramique, la pachydermine, a été isolé de ''Chamonixia pachydermis''. La structure complète, qui n'était pas directement accessible par des méthodes RMN, a été déduite de celle d'un produit de dégradation, 5 - (3-chloro-4-hydroxybenzylidene) acide tétramique.
