===When to use===
This template should only be put on articles which meet the [[WP:Orphan#Criteria|orphan criteria]]. 

Do not use this template on articles that you honestly believe [[WP:CANTDEORPHAN|will be impossible to de-orphan]].  The community wants this tag used to identify potentially solvable problems, not to create a complete index of all articles with zero, one, or two incoming links.  If the community actually wanted every orphan tagged, it would be using a mindless bot to tag these articles, rather than relying on editors and their best judgment.

The simplest way to add this template to an article is to copy and paste either <code><nowiki>{{Orphan|date=</nowiki>{{CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{CURRENTYEAR}}}}</code> or  <code><nowiki>{{Orphan|{{subst:DATE}}}}</nowiki></code> at the top of the article.

=== Attributes ===
You may use a date parameter with this template, for example <code><nowiki>{{Orphan|date=</nowiki>{{CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{CURRENTYEAR}}<nowiki>}}</nowiki></code> to help with the categorisation of articles requiring links. If you leave it out, a [[WP:BOT|bot]] will fill it in (but this will result in more edits and watchlist alerts, so adding the date right away is preferred).

If the <tt>geo</tt> parameter is included, the phrase "...about a place" will be included in the category title, and the article will be added to the orphaned geographic articles category.

This template places the article into "श्रेणी:सभी एकाकी लेख" as well as "श्रेणी:लेख जो {{{date}}} से एकाकी हैं".
