They are eroded and cut through by the four major rivers of [[:Category:South India|southern India]], the [[:Category:Godavari River|Godavari]], [[:Category:Mahanadi River|Mahanadi]], [[:Category:Krishna River|Krishna]], and [[:Category:Kaveri|Kaveri]]. The mountain ranges run parallel to the [[:Category:Bay of Bengal|Bay of Bengal]]. The [[:Category:Deccan Plateau|Deccan Plateau]] lies to the west of the range, between the Eastern Ghats and [[:Category:Western Ghats|Western Ghats]].
